Celebrate our 7th Annual United to Read Event on November 2, 2023! On this day, volunteers across Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties will be reading to 200 elementary & childcare center classrooms.We just need YOU to donate one hour of your day from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM on November 2, 2023 at your favorite Elementary School in Georgetown & Williamsburg Counties.No experience necessary, just a love of reading. Materials will be provided!Volunteers will read to a PreK, Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade class. Register yourself, friends and/or colleagues EARLY to choose which school you would like volunteer to.Read to a classroom, interact with students, and make a DIFFERENCE at your local Elementary School!#UnitedtoRead2023FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?Yes, participants must be 17 years old and older. Please be prepared to present your drivers license upon entering the school. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?All volunteers are required to have their own means of transportation. Parking is available at each United to Read Site Other RequirementsUpon registration, background checks are conducted.
