Educators, Education Advocates, Parents, and Guardians, come to join us for an evening of fun, unique dining, soulful sounds, and a chance to win raffle prizes while learning about the importance of planning for college. Dinner in the Dark is one form of educational event(s) that will be offered to provide adults with tools and information to support and guide their students through the college planning process. Mission 2 Transition LLC, is an education consulting company that provides individual college advising, project management, and program coordination to families and youth-serving education, specializing in consulting with educators and education advocates. Our work aims to increase exposure and connection to professional networks to improve the college knowing and going culture in underserved communities. Studies show that when people eat with their eyes; with the sight sense eliminated, the thought is that the other senses—mainly taste and smell—take over and elevate your meal to another new level. After putting on your blindfold in the darkened, candlelit room, one will realize that focusing on taste and smell solely, can be a truly awakening experienced only if you're not afraid of the dark!
