Chasity's Champions is excited to welcome Nicole Sloan to the 2023 Chasity D. Barnes Memorial Scholarship Dinner! Nicole is a co-host of The Sloan Blueprint podcast (alongside her husband Eric), the Broker/Owner of Coldwell Banker Nicole Sloan Realty and operates a Multi-Million Dollar Producing Real Estate firm. She is the Director of 1 Sync Technologies, a Multi-Million dollar Information Technology government contracting firm of which her husband, Eric is the President/Owner, in addition to multiple business ventures co-owned by the couple. Recording artist Kirk Jay will also be joining us for this year's awards dinner. You'll remember him from NBC's The Voice. He was a fan favorite and finished in the top 3. His blind audition of the Rascal Flatts song "Bless the Broken Road" turned all four chairs. Kirk has released his EP “Temporary Pain” which is available right now on all music platforms. It is our pleasure to welcome back Tonya Terry as the emcee for our event! Tonya is the outspoken, effervescent fireball who works daily to maintain her passion for life and create a legacy for self discovery, health & wellness and empowering women!​​​ Tonya doesn’t fit any mold! This child of God has been blessed to be a boy mom, grandmother, fitness buff who champions the cause of curvy women and their quest to be seen as healthy, attractive and competent. In fact, Tonya’s life work is being a mentor to women and children who desire to experience their best life and she does it by living her best life.  Tonya is actually known by a lot of people for her years as a morning news anchor and reporter at several radio and television stations across the Southeast. It’s that effervescent, Southern charm that made her a household name. We have a limited number of tickets available for our annual award dinner! It will be held Saturday, May 6th at Sterling Event Services in Dothan, Ala. Proceeds benefit the Chasity D. Barnes Memorial Scholarship Fund. Chasity's Champions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational resources and financial aid to students in memory of Chasity D. Barnes. ​Since 2009, scholarships have been awarded to students in the Wiregrass-area in Alabama. These students exemplify high moral standards and values that were so important to Chasity. Just like Chasity, these students realize the importance of a quality education and she would want to help them achieve their goals.
