The East Hampton Anti-Bias Task Force is an official town committee that was created in 1993 to promote awareness of the destructive effects of prejudice, intolerance and discrimination within the community, and is composed of a diverse group of concerned citizens who have been appointed by the Town Board. Current Mission Statement: The East Hampton Town Anti-Bias Task Force provides support for the oppressed, while encouraging the community to increase its understanding of the value that differences have in a respectful and civil society, through educational activities, legislative actions, and community outreach. It aims to promote fairness, respect, caring, family pride, self-awareness, empowerment, and the comfort and joy that can be found within human diversity.
