“The History of Trains in Western Movies” Beginning in December of 1903 with the Edison/Porter Silent Classic “The Great Train Robbery”, both the movie Western and the birth of the motion picture industry were born. The dynamic image of a train and steam locomotive helped propel the excitement and imagery to audiences as never before. Join us as our own Jim Clark AKA The Hollywood Train Man takes us through a journey of Trains in Western films from 1903 forward. The entire long-cut silent version of The Great Train Robbery at a staggering eleven minutes will lead our presentation.
