The Meridian Jr High Student Council and Anna's Angels are raising funds for a young mother of five (ages 12-21), Anna Parson, and her husband Steve. Anna was diagnosed in the Summer of 2022 with a rare breast cancer called Triple Positive, HER2 Positive, Invasive and Non-Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Anna’s cancer is treatable, but requires aggressive chemotherapy treatment, a double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and long-term hormonal treatment. Anna is a self-employed business owner. She is an amazing wife, mother, daughter, and friend, and is a blessing to all who know her. The side effects of her treatment are disabling, yet Anna struggles to keep her health, her family and her beloved clients balanced. With her upcoming surgery, her career will be on hold for several months for recovery. After the race, join us for the second half of your day at the Stockyard Burger Bar in Rockford for loads of raffles, food, and a fantastic band - Blue Steel!!
