Time slows down when we have novel experiences. Sharing new experiences with someone we love and trust strengthens our connections to that person. In honor of Galentine's Day this year, why not skip the usual (forgettable?) dinner/coffee/drinks and with your best gal pals and opt outside instead- experience a 2-hour forest therapy walk together!
Join intertwined nature + forest therapy for a mindful walk in nature. Forest therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, an evidence-based wellness practice that has been around for decades. Forest bathing boosts immunity, lowers blood pressure and stress hormones, prevents and relieves stress and anxiety, and increases cognitive functioning. Guided forest bathing walks are appropriate for all ages and abilities: less than a ½ mile is covered on each walk. Guides use techniques to support participants in entering a state of embodied awareness, moving through a series of “invitations” to support participants in tuning into each of their senses, allowing participants to move into a liminal space, and experience resulting wellness benefits.
Read a little more about the practice here: Forest Bathing Could Be the Key to Feeling Better.
This event will be held at Walnut Woods State Park. After the 2-hour forest therapy walk, we will enjoy a forest tea ceremony with small bites. Yes, there will be chocolate!
Cost includes a 2-hour forest bathing experience for a PAIR of Gals (one ticket = entry for 2) & a forest tea ceremony with chocolate. You'll both be home in time for the Super Bowl, if you are into that. If you aren't, you can bask in the afterglow of reduced stress and new experiences shared.
