NSHSS looks forward to seeing you, our outstanding members, and your families at our Member Event in the Ackerman Union Grand Ballroom on the campus of UCLA. You'll be welcomed with a networking breakfast, then we'll dive right into a special CIA presentation, educational workshops, a college & career fair, and a day full of networking. We'll end the day with our Member Recognition Ceremony, where each NSHSS member in attendance will be recognized for their incredible academic achievements with their own honor medallion. EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 1, 2023 AGENDA: *This agenda is subject to change; final details will be sent closer to event date.* 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Registration & Badge Pick-Up Attendees will check-in with a digital or printed copy of their tickets and members will receive name badges in the Ballroom foyer. 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Networking Breakfast NSHSS will provide a catered continental breakfast for attendees. 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: College & Career Fair Attendees will have the chance to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors. 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM: NSHSS Welcome & UCLA Information Session NSHSS will welcome attendees to campus, then University of California, Los Angeles staff/students will guide them through an informative presentation about the university. 9:45 AM – 10:15 AM: The CIA Experience and Opportunities Our partner, the Central Intelligence Agency, will present information about the special opportunities available to NSHSS members in high school, college, and even post-graduation. They'll provide a glimpse into some of their personal experiences working for CIA and discuss opportunities for both student programs and employment after graduation. 10:15 AM – 11:15 AM: General Sessions Our NSHSS Partners will host educational workshops discussing information valuable for students. Check back for more details! 11:15 AM – 1:00 PM: Campus Tours Attendees will have time to explore and tour the UCLA campus. 11:15 AM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break Attendees will visit nearby eateries for lunch on their own. 11:15 AM - 1:00 PM: College & Career Fair We invite you to return to our college fair and continue conversations with admissions representatives and other top corporate leaders. 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: UCLA College Student Panel NSHSS members who are now students at UCLA will showcase their transition to college, what it takes to be a successful student at UCLA, and the benefits of being a part of the Collegiate Council. 2:00 - 3:15 PM: General Sessions Our NSHSS Partners will host educational workshops discussing information valuable for students. Check back for more details! 3:15 – 4:45 PM: Member Recognition Ceremony Members will hear congratulatory remarks and receive their own NSHSS honor medallion. *Exhibitor List will be updated consistently on our website. CORONAVIRUS & NSHSS MEMBER EVENTS All NSHSS event attendees will be required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. This requirement applies even if you are fully vaccinated. Masks are not required when food and beverage are being consumed in designated areas, or when speaking/presenting in an official capacity the event. Following the guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), we ask that you do not attend any NSHSS events if you: - have a positive COVID test prior to the NSHSS event *NSHSS will provide a transfer credit or refund with proof of positive test 2 weeks before event date.* Please refer to this page for the most up-to-date NSHSS Events COVID-19 policies.
