Weed Wrangle 2023 at Peghorn Park

Description

The Pine Lily Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society is helping Osceola CISMA with Weed Wrangle 2023. We will assist in removing air potato fruits from air potato vines in Peghorn Park, which will reduce the reproduction and spread of this invasive non-native plant. Note that times are currently tentative (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) - as we get closer to March 4th we will have exact instructions. To participate, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, closed toe shoes / boots, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and insect repellent. Please bring water and a snack with you. Gardening gloves are recommended as well if you have them.
