Join violin professor Teagan Faran and guest artist Nicole Brancato for a fiery evening Wednesday March 1st! This duo, known as Persephone & the Phoenix, bring electroacoustic sound worlds inspired by birdsong, reggaeton, and deep listening to Thompson Recital Hall. "Fire in which we Burn" is a 50-minute, conct event reflecting on hope and resilience. Persephone & the Phoenix have performed in NYC, Canada, and Germany and are excited to cap off a weeklong residency at DePauw with this performance. Persephone & the Phoenix are also hosting an open rehearsal in Thompson Monday Feb 27 from 6-8p and a work/process talk in Watson Forum Tues Feb 28 from 7:30-9p. These events are made possible through the DePauw School of Music and the Prindle Institute for Ethics.
