Pelham Medical Center is hosting a free seminar specifically for clergy and staff to learn about potential emergencies that may arise -- from a fall or cardiac arrest to an active shooter -- and offer proactive strategies necessary to face these situations.
Each place of worship may register up to two people to attend and the first 30 organizations to register will receive a free Stop the Bleed tourniquet kit and other first-aid supplies.
Topics will include:
Hands-only CPR demonstration (non-certified)De-escalation techniquesActive shooter trainingStop the Bleed for traumatic injuriesCoffee, drinks and light snacks will be provided.
