Would you like to learn about proper lubrication for highly stressed racing engines, classic, vintage, legacy, street rod, and muscle cars? Ken Tyger of PennGrade 1 will be at Harwood Motors on Saturday April 22 to present a seminar on critical topics such as engine oil additive technology / chemistry, additives systems and base oils for formulating the proper lubrication for highly stressed race and ‘classic’ engines. Strong focus on application ZDDP concentration, maintenance, storage, drain interval, viscosity selection, fuel selection and emission system concerns. Ken is a 1993 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and has been in the lubrication industry since Sept. 2001, serving in the Technical Services realm since 2005. He became certified as an STLE (Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers) OMA I in 2009 and in 2011 achieved the highest level of certification in the oil analysis industry (OMA II). Ken has benefited from many of the STLE training courses offered including Basic Lubrication, Advanced Lubrication, Hydraulic Fluids, Automotive Tribology, Condition Monitoring, Condition Monitoring in the 21st Century and Automotive / Diesel Lubrication. Ken is a repeat presenter at the Syracuse Nationals and has presented for a number of STLE Section meetings and travels the country presenting at various automotive clubs / industry related events (PRI, SEMA, etc.).
