Did you know that in the past malaria was actually a serious problem in Michigan? Join us at the Lakeshore Museum Center for a program with Dr. Randall DeJong from Calvin University. He is very interested in the diversity of invertebrates, especially parasites and their hosts. He will be talking all things mosquitoes and malaria with us. Before coming to Calvin Dr. DeJong was a research scientist at the National Institutes of Health near Washington D.C., where he worked on the interactions between malaria parasites and the mosquitoes that transmit them to people.
