Anchorage Design Week is pleased to host a studio tour with community partners The Launch Company, MCG Explore Design, and The Board Room. Learn about renovations and reuse of existing structures as each entity opens their doors to share exciting creative work being done in Anchorage. Learn about the design of aerospace hardware and systems, architecture and interior design, and coworking studios and collaborative space design. Ship Creek is well known as an industrial corridor with world class urban fishery, but did you know that it is also home to over 100 creatives engaging in design, prototyping, and collaboration each day? Tours will include short presentations by host organizations as they welcome registered participants into their space for a progressive program celebrating great work and cool spaces. Registered participants will enjoy refreshments and morsels while connecting in the space with peers and professionals. Meet some great folks and get a sneak peeks at upcoming projects and in-process innovations at the north edge of Downtown ANC. Participant Registration Cost: FREE SPACE IS LIMITED, literally. Anchorage Design Week presents new faces and phenomena in design and highlights both local and international conversations through professional development opportunities and public events. This year’s forum prompts questions, considers processes, and suggests possible solutions for how systems, objects and experiences are designed, executed, repaired, modified, undone, or reconfigured. Anchorage Design Week is a project of the Anchorage Museum in collaboration with the Alaska Design Forum and AIGA Alaska.
