Women need to make self-protection a greater priority.According to statistics every two minutes a woman in America is raped, and one out of four women will be the victim of a violent crime. Having the delusion that it can’t happen to you or that it’s something that only happens to other people is the kind of attitude predators depend on. The more informed you are, the better prepared you will be in the event you are targeted by a predator. By empowering yourself with knowledge, your fear will not escalate, it will diminish. During this free workshop for women only, you will learn how to: 1. Mentally Prepare Yourself 2. Have a Plan 3. Follow Your Intuition 4. Be Aware of Your Surroundings 5. Not Look Like a Victim 6. Be Car Smart 7. Predict Dangerous and Controlling Behaviors 8. Know Your Strengths and Weaknesses 9. You Have the Right to Fight 10. Not Be Relocated 11. Stay Alert on Vacations 12. Be Safe at Home 13. Prevent Date Rape 14. Use Basic Self Defense Vital Points and Weapons of Attack Put your personal safety at the top of your priority list this New Year and attend this one-time free workshop. We highly recommend that you also recommend this workshop to any women that are family, friends or co-workers. This workshop is for women 13 and older. ***We WILL be discussing topics such as Rape and Sexual Assault so please keep this in mind when registering your teenager for this event. Space is limited and we will fill up fast so register ASAP! **Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. FAQ 1. Q. Should I have previous training before attending this workshop? A. Absolutely not! This workshop is designed for women with no self protection experience. 2. Q. I feel uncomfortable training with men. Will I be practicing the techniques taught at the workshop with/on men? A. No way! This is a workshop for women only. All techniques will be practiced with other women who attend the event. 3. Q. Is the training safe? A. Yes it is. Of course there is always inherent risks when conducting physical training, however, our goal is the safety of our participants and we take all safety precautions during our workshops. 4. Q. Where are you guys located? A. We are located inside the Greentree plaza across from the UPS Store. 5. Q. What should I wear? A. We recommend that you wear comfortable workout style clothing and tennis shoes. It may also be a good idea to bring a water bottle since we will be practicing physical self protection techniques and you will get a pretty good workout from the training. 6. Q. What time should I arrive? A. The workshop will begin promptly at 7:30pm. I recommend arriving around 7:15 to get checked in and ready for the training. 7. Q. Do I need to print and bring a physical ticket to the event? A. No, you do not. Simply visit our front desk upon your arrival and give us your name. 8. Q. Can I continue training in your classes after the workshop? A. Yes. We highly recommend that you continue training in our self protection classes even after the workshop. This will keep the techniques top of mind and it will allow you to better protect yourself in an assault. After the workshop, we will be offering all participants a short trial program at a special rate to continue their self protection training in our ongoing classes.
