B.L.A.C.K. is an annual performing arts showcase hosted by the Upsilon Beta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. since February 2016. The event was originally named “Black on Black Rhyme.” However, given that there is an official organization with that very name, in 2017, the brothers in the chapter decided to rename the event “B.L.A.C.K.;” an acronym that stands for Beauty, Love, Achievement, Culture, and Knowledge. “B.L.A.C.K” aims to provide an opportunity to recognize black artists who are a part of the CNU undergraduate, alumni, faculty, and neighboring community. Additionally, the brothers of the chapter continue to work to create a platform that places emphasis on providing exposure to small, women, and minority businesses and community organizations.
