Join us Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm EST in the historic Madam Walker Legacy Center Ballroom.
The event is supported by the Circle City(IN) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, and IU Health. Our speakers will focus on Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension and African American Maternal Mortality. We acknowledge February as American Heart Month and "Go Red for Women", supported by the American Heart Association, a Links, Incorporated National Partner.

Obstetrician GynecologistCommunity North Hospital, IndianapolisDr. Harris will address care before, during, and after pregnancy, complications related to hypertension, monitoring during pregnancy, and current recommendations for managing African American women during pregnancy.
Dr. Khadijah Breathett, MD, MS, FACC, FAHA, FHFSA
Tenured Associate Professor of Medicine at Indiana UniversityAdvanced Heart Failure/Transplant/Mechanical Circulation Support Cardiologist at Indiana University and IU HealthDr. Breathett is committed to reducing heart failure among patients of color and women. She will discuss the link between heart disease and heart failure during pregnancy.
