If you've taken an AVP Basic and Advanced Workshop, this is your opportunity to become an AVP facilitator!In this fun, interactive workshop, you will learn and practice facilitation techniques, work in teams to lead exercises, and have AVP joy in the process. This 3-day workshop, which combines advanced training with elements of a basic workshop, leads to certification as an AVP facilitator-in-training. Note: You must have already completed both the AVP Basic and Advanced Workshops in order to take this workshop. Call us at the number below if you have questions. When: March 10, 11 and 12, 2023 (Because the activities build on each other, you need to attend all 3 days to receive a certificate of completion) • Friday, March 10: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. • Saturday, March 11: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. • Sunday, March 12: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.Where: Neptune City Community Center, 117 Third Ave., Neptune City, NJ 07753 (Free parking in the lot)Who: Program facilitators have been trained by the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP). They lead workshops at community groups and prisons in New Jersey.How much: A suggested donation of $50 covers materials, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and snacks.
