Thank you for coming back for the EIGHTH annual Tour de Placer Roubaix! We are back with a few changes for the eighth edition. First of all, we will be staging out of Meadow Vista Park this year. We plan to offer two route options.And, we won't make you go up Iowa Hill road again this year. (No more of Gary's bad ideas, but that's not to say it will be easy.)If you've attended the Tour de Placer Roubaix in the past, you know we like to mix up the routes. We moved the start to Meadow Vista to allow us to go higher into the hills, and had big plans this year for a few roads that were affected by this past summer's Mosquito Fire. So, we don't have final route details yet, and we may not for a few more weeks, but we are planning a 45-ish mile route, and a 65-75 mile route. Both routes will hit Yankee Jim's bridge and the party at the bridge will be in full-effect. Rider registration will open at 730, at MEADOW VISTA PARK, and all riders should be on the road by 9a. As we warn you every year, this ride goes into remote areas of the mountains, often out of cell-phone range, and often miles from where a car could come to sag you, so come prepared to be self-supported. After the ride, we will have post-ride feed and a brew for you. There will be one aid-station on the route, staffed as always be the amazing kids and parents of the Placer Foothills Mountain Bike Club. Did someone say quesadillas?! All proceeds raised by the event go to getting MORE KIDS ON BIKES. We donate all proceeds to Placer Foothills MTB Club and the Auburn Bike Park.
