Description

Are you looking for a conference that will empower you to take action on climate change and build a secure energy future for all? Look no further than the Citizens' Climate Education Southeast Regional Conference, taking place at The Kendeda Building at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This conference is the perfect opportunity for individuals, community leaders, and elected officials to come together and learn about the most effective ways to advocate for strong climate policies at the local, state, and national levels. The conference theme, "Building a Secure Energy Future Together," reflects our belief that addressing climate change requires collective action and collaboration across all sectors of society. The conference includes a tour of the stunning Kendeda Building, a Living Building which showcases innovative sustainable design, and it is the first building in Georgia and 28th in the world to earn Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification, the world’s most ambitious and holistic green building achievement. During the conference, you'll have the opportunity to hear from elected officials who will share their climate success stories and offer insight into how you can replicate their successes in your own community. You'll also attend policy breakouts focused on CCE's four policy areas: Carbon Fee and Dividend, Healthy Forests, Electrification, Permitting Reform, and CCE levers of political will. Saturday lunch is included / Sunday breakfast is included. There are a variety of hotels in the area around Georgia Tech. Some popular nearby hotels include: Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown, Aloft Atlanta Midtown, and The Georgian Terrace Hotel. Parking & Transportation Information The Kendeda Building is easily accessible by public transportation. If you're driving, there is ample parking available. Don't miss this chance to be a part of the solution to the climate crisis and to connect with like-minded individuals from across the Southeast. Register today!
