Description

This showcase will present significant works of art and culture to connect people to creativity and knowledge. This gala is intended to unify our students during Black History Month in a safe environment, free from judgement and exclusivity. Select individuals will voluntarily participate in research and later connect their studies with a cause in which they individually feel is overlooked, neglected, or undervalued. This is an opportunity for each participant to voice their opinions and be heard among their peers, as well as showcase their individual leadership. They will publicly advocate showcasing their passion for a cause of their choosing. There will also be opportunity for the audience to resonate with each cause, and in turn, provide monetary donation toward that cause. Donations will be collected by designated executive Share the Bread board members, and contact information of each audience member will be obtained to ensure protection and line of communication. ALL donations will be recorded and sent toward the donors desired cause, in efforts to positively impact the community and assist with funding larger corporations such as; The American Cancer Society, The American Sickle Cell Anemia Association, World Central Kitchen, etc., in their efforts to help make a difference. We will have multiple individual and group performances, as well as free food and free entry! Please reach out to [email protected] for any further questions regarding the event.
