NAMI Minnesota is pleased to bring you the latest research from the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry! University researchers will present their latest findings, introduce new studies that are underway and answer your questions. Join us for an evening of information and hope. This year's theme is The Latest Findings on Treatments for Mental Illness. Presentations include: Brenden Tervo-Clemens, PhD, Harvard University, Faculty applicant to the Dept of Psychiatry: The latest findings on teen mental health and teen substance abuseJenny Zick MD/PhD, Research Resident: What's Old is New: making clozapine more accessible for more Minnesotans with severe psychosis.Sophia Vinogradov, MD, Chair for the Dept of Psychiatry: New Antipsychotic Medications Under StudySaydra Wilson, MD, Psychiatry, M Health Fairview Mental Health & Addiction Services: Racial Disparities in Access to Neuromodulation TreatmentParticipants can earn 1.5 social work CEUs for attending. Dinner includes an entree, salad and dessert. Dinner options are chicken or a quinoa power bowl (gluten free and vegan).
