This annual event in Woodmont Park draws many guests and a variety of local plant growers and vendors. Members of the Temple Terrace Garden Club sell plants, baked goods, and “gently used” home and garden items. They invite local plant vendors , who can actually talk about how to be successful with your purchases and vendors who bring a wide variety of lovely items for your home and garden. Over the years guests have also been treated to a variety of displays on subjects including horticulture, floral design, and delightful “tablescapes”. Educational and instructional boards on topics such as “Raising Orchids”, “Florida Wildflowers” & “Butterfly Conservation” welcome guests into the historic clubhouse maintained by the club in partnership with the Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club and the Temple Terrace Woman’s Club. Not only does this project raise a few dollars to support the maintenance of Woodmont Park, it allows us to bring awareness of this historic park and the Garden Club.
A new feature of the event is the 2nd annual City of Temple Terrace Chalk Festival with local artists creating captivating scenes on the spot for your enjoyment. The artwork will remain in the park until Mother Nature washes them away.
Food trucks and music round out the day so plan to spend your Sunday afternoon under the canopy of oaks in Temple Terrace.
Parking and entrance is FREE.
