Please join us on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2pm for A Kure For Kate. On December 13th 2022, 17 year old Kate was diagnosed with Pleurolplumonary Blastoma, a very rare type of cancer with characteristics of Rhabdoysarcoma. She is the 10th child in the world with this type of presentation. Kate is currently undergoing multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatment for her cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering. As most teenagers her age, being a senior is a pivotal year and now her senior year of high school will be different than most. Kate has an identical twin sister, Jillian and a younger sister, Kristen who is 15 years old. Kristen also happens to be a childhood cancer survivor herself. At 1 years old Kristen was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma also a very rare type of cancer and she was also treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Kate's sister Kristen was treated for Neuroblastoma ( a very aggressive cancer ) in 2009 and thankfully is fully recovered. We are holding this event to help with the medical bills that will occur and to help Kate with her fight. This event is open to all ages!!!
