The Malebox, Hyacinth's program to provide resources for queer men, will be hosting a networking event in honor of Black HIV AIDS Awareness Day on February 11th, Saturday, from 5pm to 8pm at The Love Lounge Bar (The address is 662 South Ave, Plainfield, NJ ).
There will be music and a comfortable space for people talk to others within the community. There will be activities and an opportunity for attendants to speak on the mic about their upcoming projects and how HIV has impacted their life or community.
The event will be focused on the impact that HIV has had on the black community to inspire people to end HIV stigma through their own skills and network. Representatives of the Hyacinth and our partners within Union County will speak about their experience, knowledge, passion and plans to help end the HIV epidemic.
The food will be catered by AIDS Healthcare Foundation. It is free, with a ticket upon registering at the door or through our survey on @_themalebox_ instagram page.
Hope to see you there,
