As its name suggests, TOPAA is a growing group of parents and professionals working to ensure better educational outcomes for Texas students. The non-profit aims to create a space where people's knowledge, resources, and ideas come together to form a positive force for students with disabilities in Texas and beyond. The launch lunch is open to any parents, special education advocates, and attorneys who share those interests. Guest speakers include: Attorney Sonja Kerr, with an overview of current case law, Edgar Pacheco, Jr., with an outlook on the 88th Legislature,Former public school teacher Rep. James Talarico will share his goals for the session,Round Rock native Rep. Caroline Harris has also been invited to speakMusic will be provided by award-winning amateur pianist Zachary LaViola.
