On the Fringe: Using texture in your acrylic artwork Texture has the potential to increase the quality of a piece of artwork. Similar to impasto techniques, texture lifts the image from your canvas, board, wall, or other support, giving your artwork a sculptural effect. It literally makes your artwork pop. This class will cover the characteristics of acrylic texture materials; the tools necessary for applying texture to a support; methodologies; and the types of supports needed for the types of texture materials available from your local (or not so local) retail art supplies sellers. Students will be provided all materials and tools needed to practice this exciting aspect of acrylic artwork.
