The Interfaith Center of Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Jewish Center will host their 7th joint program on April 10th, where Jewish, Muslim, Christian and interfaith communities join together for a discussion embracing various religious holidays, rituals and traditions that is followed by a festive Iftar meal -- the traditional meal eaten by Muslims to end their daily fast during Ramadan.
This year, leaders from the Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities will dialogue on the topic: "Knocking on Heaven’s Door: Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Thoughts on the Afterlife." Come and learn about each faith tradition’s views on heaven, hell, resurrection and the afterlife. In addition, as in previous years, volunteers from all faiths will work together to select a menu comprised of traditional dishes and prepare the meal to be served following the program and liturgy.
This is a free event, however, registration is required for dinner reservations.
Hope you will join us for an evening of thought-provoking dialogue and discussion, followed by an Iftar Dinner.
