Roy Diblik is co-owner of Northwind Perennnial Farm, a perennial garden designer, nurseryman, gardener and writer. He has been growing perennials and native plants since 1978. He began designing perennial and native gardens in 1995. Inspired by the diversity of plants and their relationships in remnant prairies and woodlands, his design practice is placing plants together encouraging tight plant communities that live well with each other while pursuing compatible and thoughtful stewardship practices. His professional training was ‘Outdoor Education’ from 1971 to 1975 at Western Illinois University. designs for the Art Institute of Chicago, The Shedd Aquarium and the Chicago History Museum perennial gardens.
