 Wicomico County 4-H Presents 4-H Winterfare Workshop February 25, from 9:00am to 3:30pm Located at Christ United Methodist Church, Phillip Morris Dr, SalisburyThis event is open to youth ages 8 and olderCost is $30 per child. Winterfare Workshop is a fun filled day event, that lets your child participate in 4 different classes to experience and learn from. All classes are hands-on, through make it take it type arts and crafts, to highly interactive educational experiences. Class sizes are limited and registration fills quickly. This event is open to the public, so you don’t need to be in 4-H to participate. Registration DEADLINE February 20In some classes participants may get messy, please bring an apron or wear old clothes.Lunch is NOT provided. Bring a packed lunch.We suggest you bring a tote bag with you to carry your items around with you.Classes - Participants will rotate through 4 different classes which will include: Rockets to the Rescue - Design, craft and build your own rocket. Then launch them into the air, see how far they can travel, hit your targets and have fun.Basket Weaving - Weave your own basket with round reed on a wooden base. Add some color to your basket with pony beads! Finished baskets will measure approx. 4"x 6" and make great pencil holders or gifts!Art is in the Water - Have fun making unique watercolor pictures, experiment with techniques like adding salt, and create custom abstract art by adding patterns and metallic colors. Cook With Me - Create a delicious take home meal for the family to enjoy for dinner.
