The Search Institute has identified 40 developmental assets that are positive supports and strengths all young people need to succeed. Half of the assets focus on the relationships and opportunities young people need in their families, schools, and communities. The remaining assets focus on the social-emotional strengths, values, and commitments that are nurtured within young people. Research on developmental assets merged into how important relationships can be and now the Search Institute has designed the Developmental Relationships Framework. The Framework describes factors that are involved in effective relationships between young people and their parents or other adults.
Join Susan Morris Wilson to discuss the importance of developing assets in young people to help them be successful in their home, school and community, and to handle risky situations more effectively.
