About the instructor: Heather Kelejian is native of North Carolina and grew up in Chapel Hill and Charlotte. She has called Wilmington home since 1994. As a child, she gardened with her grandmother and the seeds that were planted with her have grown into a fulfilling career in therapeutic horticulture. Heather is currently the Director of the Ability Garden and the Therapeutic Horticulture Agent for New Hanover County Cooperative Extension. She uses plants and nature to help build connections to health. Her work includes programs with communities, schools, individuals and community organizations to benefit overall wellness through horticulture.
