Synopsis
Aaliyah Wilson is a 27-year-old talented actress and acting teacher who feels stagnant in her career and love life.
After graduating from one of the best acting programs in the state, Aaliyah had high hopes for a successful career in television and film. However, she lives in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida where there are beautiful beaches but no big television and film productions. In order to maintain her career as an actress she auditions for local commercials that don’t seem to be getting her anywhere because she’s not even booking those. Disappointed that her career hasn’t exactly gone the way she expected, Aaliyah acquires a lackadaisical attitude that bleeds into, not only her career but her love life.
Be that as it may, Aaliyah’s love life takes a turn when she meets an attractive, aspiring journalist and poet, Aubrey Jones. After Aaliyah hesitantly agrees to go on a date with Aubrey, she realizes she may just have a chance at love when the two hit it off. The creative duo falls quickly and hard for each other, it appears they both have met their match. However, Aubrey and Aaliyah’s whirlwind romance doesn’t last long. When Aaliyah discovers that Aubrey’s been keeping something from her she regrets ever giving love a chance and decides to break it off. As if that wasn’t enough, Aaliyah faces her biggest heartbreak yet when she suffers loss in the most unexpected way.
Nevertheless, it is through tragedy and loss that Aaliyah finally discovers that when you really want something you need to take risks.
