Whether you are just starting your backyard garden, have moved into new planting zone or are greening your interior décor, this class is for you. We'll cover the basics of growing your garden or indoor plants in the most economical way, sharing propagation tips and shortcuts that can drastically reduce big start up garden costs, as well as provide contacts for must-have big garden build outs. And if you have a grandma rose,... we'll give you the knowledge to create legacy plants from your plants. All learners will go home with ready-to-plant seeds, planted roots or cuttings that they themselves have prepared for planting themselves. Bring cuttings, should you have them. There will be samples to take home as well. This is hands-on, hands-in-dirt class. Get ready to have fun and grow your garden!!! Shawn has always had her hands happily in the dirt and her feet on the ground. A granddaughter of two farming families and a child of NE Florida, she watched her father suffer trying to grow tomatoes in the sandy Florida soil. Having enjoyed the true taste of fabulously organic vegetables and fruit from her family’s gardens, she has strived to grow anything closely resembling their healthy organic flavor. This endeavor of sheer determination to make things grow well and flavorfully, has created a treasure trove of NE Floridian knowledge of gardens, growth, dirt and propagation.
