Prevention Insights will be training on SBIRT. This training is universal, addressing the entire population in an appropriate manner, determining their risk level and from there, possibly offering options. These conversations and referral options can be uncomfortable without prior training. This half day training is essential to learning about SBIRT and can be expanded upon into a full day training for implementation in your facility. Research has found a reduction rate of 39% in alcohol use and 68% in drug use, and improved levels of general and mental health at 6 month follow up, for individuals involved with SBIRT. This training is available for professionals in healthcare, mental health, justice and legal, education and public health. Included is a continental breakfast, Prevention Insight course content, and discussion following!
