Description

Two Shepherds is delighted to host our first popup mini natural wine fair, right here in Sonoma, the first at our space ! We have invited 3 family owned, small, compelling producers we regularly talk about, and may add 1-2 more! Wines will also be for sale on premise by some wineries to take home! Two Shepherds - Now a 5k case winery started in 2010 making LOTS of small lots of wines from unusual varieties. We will be featuring several brand new wines including our very popular, latest release of 2022 Pinot Gris ramato, and Wiley carbonic Carignan. Unturned Stone - Also started in 2010, by our very good friends Randy and Erin, who craft ~1k cases a year, right here in our winery since 2017. Unturned Stone has a cool slant, making natural wines in a light handed delicious style from traditional CA grapes like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Cabernet. In their own words " We honor Mother Nature’s intentions and the work of our farmers by only sourcing organically grown grapes from Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. All our ferments occur naturally, and we rely on taste and experience rather than lab numbers to guide our winemaking. We do no additions or subtractions in the winery other than minimal sulfur as needed and are firm believers in low intervention winemaking." Catch & Release - We have become quite fond of Monica & Beno, another husband/wife team whose small brand of delicious wines is growing each year, and who made some wine in our winery this year. As they say "We make wines we like to drink, in partnership with growers who lead from the front of regenerative farming. We champion simplicity, prioritize delicacy, and crave acidity at every turn." Kivelstadt - Founded in 2007, we had always loved Kivelstadt since we discovered them and regularly encourage people to visit their very cool Winegarten in Sonoma. Now making 6k cases a year they "strive to create wine, and food, that maintains a fun, approachable, and accessible style while challenging the status quo of California winemaking." We agree! Tilted Shed Ciderworks - yes they are our neighbors, literally. They will have a table to sample a few ciders and you are welcome to venture over afterwards to try and buy more. Scott and Ellen are dear friends, as well as collaboration partners in a number of projects they have done with us and other small wineries. We share many customers, and they are rightfully beloved in the industry for their passion, creativity, and quality. Founded in 2011 they are "focusing on ciders, coferments, and distillation projects all sourced from our foodshed—supporting local organic and sustainable apple farmers and gleaning from the bounty of fruit that nature gives us here in west county. We press everything in season and practice low-intervention production, specializing in all wild fermentations, no fining or filtering, and very minimal sulfites, to allow the true expression of the fruit." Come and taste these local, sustainable wines/ciders, and support small local family business!
