In an effort to bring attention to this invisible and underserved community, James Samaritan is hosting the 3rd Annual State of Our Children Breakfast featuring Dr Calvin Mackie, an award-winning mentor, inventor, author, former engineering professor, internationally renowned speaker who will speak to us about the importance of mentorship. The Department of Children and Family Services new secretary, Terri Ricks as well as the State Youth Ambassador, Aliyah Zeien, MSW also a former foster child who has taken charge of her life and has become a professional superstar in her community.
