In this one-day workshop we will practice being one with reality, a tantalizing possibility that lies at the core of the two different traditions we will explore: Zen, and the teachings of Don Juan found in the books of Carlos Castaneda. We will look at the positive and negative sides of both schools of mind, and find some freedom beyond the forms. Through sitting, “seeing”, and discussion, we will take steps towards becoming a Reality Warrior. Logistics: This is an in-person event only. Alembic has a large free parking lot and is also accessible by public transportation. Please arrive a bit early so that our volunteer doesn't have to miss the event waiting for you! Streaming Information: This day will be live in person at The Alembic and privately livestreamed on YouTube. About Rebecca Ryuen Long Okura Sensei: Sensei has been studying Zen for 18 years first with Dennis Genpo Merzel Roshi and then with his successor Daniel Doen Silberberg Roshi, the founder of Lost Coin Zen. Sensei received transmission in that lineage in 2020 and became a Zen teacher. In her other manifestations she is a mother, a lawyer, a business owner, a scholar, a reader, a nagual, and a student.
