It is the desire of the Morgan County Schools Foundation to promote a culture of leadership and character building within the community and schools by providing students and residents of Morgan County the opportunity to see those who have set examples of leadership for us to follow. The Morgan County Leadership Hall of Fame is pleased to announce its 2023 inductee class. The 8th Annual Leadership Hall of Fame induction banquet and ceremonies will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Decatur, Alabama. The 2023 class of inductees includes Mr. George E. Crawford, formerly of Somerville (post humous), Mr. James (Jim) B. Odom of Decatur, Mr. Destin Sandlin of Hartselle, and Ms. Peggy Towns of Decatur. Other award recipients during the celebration of leadership will include the 2023 Corporate Leader of the Year presented to Dollar General of Priceville. The 2023 Community Leader of the Year will be presented to First Priority of Greater Decatur. A 2023 Student Leadership Scholarship will also be awarded to a high school senior from one Morgan County School high school. Cocktails served at 5:30 PM. Dinner served at 6:30 PM.
