So many of you have seen my mom Penny, and her funny video of her dancing she did, lol... Since I have become her full time care taker, I have lost my job and have lost a good portion of our income. We decided to do a Rent A Center type deal on a new couch for her, so she would be a lot more comfortable, and not waking up at 4am in tears due to back pain, we got a couch from them... Since I lost my job, I was unable to make payments and they came this morning and re-po'd her couch. She chooses to sleep on the couch, where it is easier for her, and closer to the bathroom and TV. Since they re-po'd her couch, she now is sitting on nothing but a blanket on the hardwood floor, at 63 and recently broke her hip, it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I've been searching marketplace, Freecycle, local churches, Salvation Army and EVERY donation type place in my area, with no luck, unfortunately. After weeks of searching, I finally have found a sofa that she REALLY likes, and is scheduled I am doing everything I can, to have a new piece of furniture, that is OURS, for her by bedtime! Having stage 4 ovarian cancer and a recently broken hip l, ALL I want for my mom, is to go through the rest of her chemo therapy treatment, rest, heal, get better, get a good night's sleep, and not worry about anything...
