Description

The breitbart parrot strikes again repeating breitbart misinformation & disinformation. (AKA MAGA Bull Shit) Lets look at the actual report and find the truth. https://www.energy.gov/sites/default/files/2023-01/Keystone%20XL%20Extension%20Permit%20Revocation%20-%20Energy%20Costs%20and%20Job%20Impacts_0.pdf Pull up the report and go to the bottom of page 11 and the top of page 12: (reproduced below with highlights of important points in bold put in by me.) "The remaining analysis in this report reviews the major studies evaluating the KXL pipeline, and their major findings. Key relevant points from the review of prior studies show: 1. Estimates indicate approximately 50 permanent jobs once the pipeline would be operational. Studies found there would be between 16,149 to 59,46815 temporary jobs supported annually during the two-year construction period of the KXL pipeline, but the high-end figure overstates jobs, coming from a study that faced significant criticism for including in its analysis project inputs from India, Russia, and Russian companies in Canada, thus including jobs outside the United States, and also including portions of the Keystone pipeline project outside the XL segment in question. 2. Estimates of economic impacts show wide variations across studies and are not directly comparable due to large differences in modeling assumptions. 3. Crude oil production volume in the WCSB would not be affected by a positive or negative decision on the KXL pipeline." Look at the map on page 12. (re-produced above). Note a few things. The XL pipeline would connect 2 points that are already served by EXISTING pipleline so cancelling XL did not prevent the flow of oil from point A to point B it only seems to be a more direct route. Read the legend on the map and see what I am saying is true. The pipeline only would have created an estimated 50 PERMANENT jobs. Smart people support making more GREEN jobs. Last thing to note: Do you see where the whole pipeline system would end? answer: In the Gulf of Mexico. Could it be that it needs to be near a harbor? Water seeks it own level but oil seeks the highest bidder. Any oil that makes it to the Gulf is as likely to be used in America as it is to end up on a barge headed to the highest bidder in another country. In summary: When you rely on the craigslist parrot for your facts you cheat yourself out of making decisions based on the truth. Breitbart is not a reliable source for facts. Time and again we see Breitbart manipulate their readers by feeding them bastardized versions of the "facts". Breitbart is not a news media they are agents of disinformation.
