JOB SUMMARY : Assemble, dissemble, maintain and repair escalator mechanical components, such as gear boxes, motors, bull gears, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Teardown, evaluating, rebuilding, & testing gearboxes/bull gears/etc. • Specify the necessary parts and labor needed to complete repairs and assemblies • Evaluate, rebuild, and test pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, motors, gears, etc. • Assembly/fabrication and testing of various motorized units, along with trouble shooting • Able to read micrometer and be able to set gear patterns and bearing clearances • Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals • Able to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and task. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings. • Work in a safe manner and follow safety rules at all times • Maintain a clean and organized and safe work area on a daily basis
