Join us for our annual Valentine's market at The Plant on Sun. Feb. 12 from 11am-3pm. For this edition, we’ll be joined by artists with Nowhere Collective to keep it nice & trashy, in the best sense possible: think imaginative handcrafted goods made from upcycled and reused materials that otherwise would be landfill-bound! You’ll see familiar faces from past markets as well, including local artisans and food producers based at The Plant, so stop by to treat yourself or to gift your sweetie. Here’s the full program at The Plant today: 11am-3pm - Valentine's Market 11am-3pm - Turtle Stop 11am-3pm - Packingtown Museum 11am-8pm - Whiner’s taproom hours 2pm - Tour of The Plant 3pm - Tour of the Brewery The Packingtown Museum preserves, interprets, and presents the industrial history and cultural heritage of Chicago’s Union Stock Yard and surrounding neighborhoods. Entry is free. Tours of The Plant take place at 2pm; meet in lobby. Take a behind-the-scenes tour from the perspective of the founder and the design team behind The Plant. Come learn about Bubbly Dynamics’ creative approaches to reimagine what is conventionally considered "waste" as a valuable asset and see how tenant businesses collaborate and create amazing food products while striving to increase efficiencies of all types. Tour size is limited so please consider purchasing tickets in advance. Then join into a free tour of Whiner Beer Company’s brewery, led by the brewers themselves; just meet in the lobby at 3pm if you’re only angling for the brewery tour. Taproom is open til 8pm, and pizza kitchen will be open until 7pm. What to bring: La Casa Norte- hygiene and household supplies (new in package) and gently used books for distribution by the Back of the Yards branch of the Chicago Public Library - fresh, unexpired food for our Love Fridge We appreciate your support of our community!
