Build a small tabletop tray completely by hand! In this 4-part series, you will explore the concepts of artisanal design and construction by cutting simple joinery using traditional hand tools. You will experience the difference between rip and crosscut saws, block planes and jackplanes, a variety of chisels, card scrapers, spokeshaves, and more. The layout and joinery you learn through this simple project will teach you the concepts you need to get started on endless furniture projects!
