Do you want to teach your child gun safety but don’t know where to start? There’s not a better place to than our Kid’s Handgun Fundamentals Class! They will learn proper and safe gun handling, and experience “hands on” instruction in the safe loading and firing of a .22 caliber firearm. We will provide the firearm, ammunition, and the PPE (personal protective equipment). This is for ages 10 to 17 years. No FOID card is needed to attend. This 3-hour course consists of classroom, range simulator and a live shooting range. Class is limited to 6 students, and they must be supervised by a parent/guardian. Each student will receive a completion certificate for the course. Students must demonstrate an acceptable level of safety and positive attitude as determined by the instructor in order to pass. We have you covered on the firearm, ammunition, and all PPE (personal protective equipment) Do I need a FOID card for this event? No, a FOID is not required to attend the course. I don't have any experience! No problem! That's what we're here for! What's the refund policy? We do not offer refunds, but we do allow rollovers. Meaning if there is a need to not attend the course, you may roll your slot over to the next available one. There is a $50.00 one time fee associated per ticket purchased. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We are co-located with The Tac Shack Indoor Shooting Range on North University Street in Peoria. Our parking lot is more than adequate and is ADA approved.
