Maintenance/Handman Position Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintenance of all properties managed by HDI Properties. Flexible Schedule - Most tasks can be performed at various times. Flexible Part-Time (hours/days) *willing to discuss options Can work around your schedule to an extent. Duties/Responsibilities: • Prepare vacant units, getting them ready for new occupants • Ability to make minor repairs to buildings, heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring and other general repairs • Ensure the properties have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and all are in good, working condition • Determine materials and supplies needed • Parking lot cleanup including garbage pick up • Maintain open communication with property owners and property managers for information regarding operations, renovations, and authorizations Knowledge/Abilities: • Must be self-starter with valid driver’s license • Knowledge in maintenance supplies, equipment, materials and methods used in light maintenance • Ability to make minor repairs to buildings, heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring and other general repairs • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people including fellow employees, residents, and contractors • General technical skills Pay depending on experience.
