Description

We are proud to announce that Dartmouth Health employees will now have a chance to officially recognize people in our NH/VT communities who are working toward social justice. Nominations for the 1st Annual Community Impact Social Justice Awards (CISJA) are underway. The awards were developed by the Dartmouth Health Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Employee Resource Group (BIPOC ERG), which works to promote belonging, safety, and unity by relationship building and contributing to the community in meaningful ways. The recognition of social justice work is being done in honor of Black leaders who paved the way to create a world in which all people have the opportunity to thrive. Winners will be celebrated at a ceremony in April 2023. The three categories for the CISJA nominations include a Dartmouth Health employee, a community member, and a youth community member. The nomination criteria are as follows: • Actively engaged in demonstrated social justice action aimed at making the lives of others and/or communities better • Engaged in empowerment of marginalized individuals and/or communities • Engaged in community organizing and systems change that promote human rights and social justice action • Demonstrated evidence of ongoing inclusive change in the community/communities within which the individual(s) work Nominations can be submitted from now until Tuesday March 21, at https://tinyurl.com/CISJAward.
