Join us for Farragut High School's Empty Bowls fundraiser for the FISH Pantry! This event is generously hosted by Einstein Bros. Bagels at 11693 Parkside Dr Knoxville, TN and the Farragut High School (FHS) Chapter of the National Art Honor Society. (NAHS) What is it? Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and crafts people in cities and towns across the country and around the world to feed the hungry in their communities. How does it work? 1. Donate - Make a $15 donation in advance for your ticket. Extra donations are also welcomed. Tickets on Eventbrite have an additional $2.55 fee. Limited tickets are also available in advance at Farragut High School. Contact [email protected] for more info. Tickets at the door are $20. Tickets at the door are limited by seating and bowl availability. All proceeds go to feed the hungry locally. 2. Eat - Arrive at Einstein Bros. Bagels in Farragut during your ticketed seating time of 5:00 pm, 5:30 pm, or 6:00 pm Choose a handmade bowl created by FHS students, local artists, and community members. Enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread served by National Art Honor Society students from Farragut High School. Take home your bowl as a reminder of the empty bowls in our community. 3. Remember- Continue to use your bowl. All the bowls are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. With each use, remember the empty bowls in your community that need filled. Where does the money go? Your ticket donation and any additional donations will be helping FISH Hospitality Pantries, a local non-profit organization that feeds about 7,000 families a month, or about 21,000 people. More than 62,000 people live below the poverty line in Knox County—about 25 percent of them are children. In addition, many more thousands of families are just above that standard and are hungry, too.
