Join us on April 1 from 10 am-2 pm to learn about sustainable food production and help plant spring vegetables for the already-producing market garden at Emmanuel Temple Church. Emmanuel Temple runs a food giveaway program which supports many low income and unhoused neighbors in Vallejo, CA. This public, hands-on installation workshop will be held for spring planting, removing winter crops, tending to fruit trees, and other needed maintenance at the Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church, providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds, and permaculture. This project is in partnership with Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church. Safety recommendations: Staff and volunteers should wear a face covering/mask that covers nose and mouth. Volunteers are encouraged to wear close toed shoes, sunscreen, hats, and bring water to hydrate during the event.
