Veterans, Military and family within the same vehicle are FREE with ID!NON-VETERANS: $10 per person of all ages, collected at the kiosk upon check-in to the park, and an additional $5 (cash only) at the derby booth. *Please note: cost does not include state fishing license, required for all over the age of 16* Prizes will be awarded to the winners in both the Adult & Children categories at 12pm. Last chance to measure in at 11:30am. All tickets can be purchased at event. Pre-register today to save time upon arriving to the park! To continue our efforts with the prevention of Quagga Mussel Cross Contamination, we will inspect all bait, tackle box, bucket, fishing poles, any/and all other fishing gear you may bring. Please make sure you bring clean and dry fishing gear. Bait must be in unopened and unused containers. RULES:1. All tackle boxes, bait and associated fishing items that can carry quagga mussel larvae will be inspected. Please have all fishing equipment dry and clean. All unsealed fishing bait canisters will not be allowed into the park per CVWD quagga mussel regulations.2. Gates open at 6:15 a.m. Derby hours: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Awards Ceremony 12:00 p.m. Recreation fishing available until 5:00 p.m.3. Fishing Fee - Derby Entry: Veterans – Free (Includes family members in vehicle).Non-Veterans - $15.00 per person ($10 admission/fishing fee and $5 CASH tournament fee)4. State and County Fishing Regulations apply.5. State Fishing License Required (16 years and older). Fishing License must be in your possession at all times.6. A wristband must be worn at all times by anglers participating in the derby.7. Shoreline fishing only.8. Anglers must fish with only ONE rod and rod must be closely attended.9. Catch and release not allowed, with the exception of grass carp. Snagging of fish is prohibited and will not qualify for prizes. Any grass carp inadvertently taken must be immediately returned unharmed to the water. Under Section 5.37 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations, it is illegal to take or possess grass carp at any time.10. Fish must be brought to the Award Ceremony area for official measurement by 11:30 a.m. In order to be in contention for any derby prize, all fish must be freshly caught, fresh in appearance, not stiff or frozen.11. Trout only derby. Prizes will be awarded by the length of trout caught during the derby. Derby hours: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Prize awards start at 12:00 p.m. Winner need not be present.12. Anglers and/or persons shall not violate any fishing derby rules, local, state, or federal laws in or about event site.13. Refunds: No refunds – derby will be held rain or shine.
